Well, Emry continues to amaze us! PRAISE THE LORD! She has been doing great! She is up to 2lbs 15oz! GO EMRY! I can't believe she is alost 3 pounds! I can't wait!
She rarely has a brady or desat anymore which is fantastic. She will have one every few days but come right back up from it within seconds. Believe it or not the drs say we (as adults) have bradys and desats when we bare down or sometimes even when we yawn. Apparently, if we were hooked up to the monitors all day we'd be having those scary little alarms going off too. Who knew?
She did have to get those yucky 2 month immunization shots yesterday.... Ugh.... They actually decided to give one yesterday, one today, and one tomorrow. The one yesterday went great. Sweet little girl screamed bloody murder and turned bright red when they gave it to her but as soon as the nice nurse took the needle out she was sacked! Slept until the next feeding! ha! She did the same thing today only a few hours after the shot she got really, really fussy and acted like she just could not get comfortable. :( She finally fell asleep about and hour ago so fingers crossed her tiny little leg is not hurting her anymore.
SHOTS=CRYING BABY!
Feeding are going so so. As most of you know she got the feeding tube moved to her nostril and out of her mouth but I noticed she kept acting like she was having a hard time getting a good latch and breathing... So after a few feeds this way (and only a few MILs eaten) I asked the nurse if we could try and put it back in her mouth to see if she ate better that way. To our surprise she ate the whole bottle! That's 24 MILs! OINK OINK! And don't worry my avid breastfeeding friends... She is still getting my booby milk through the bottle only it has added calories to help her catch up weight wise. They only allow 2 actual breastfeeds per day at this point because of that.
She didn't want to let go of that paci!
How am I you ask? Well, its starting to catch up to me I'll be honest. I miss being home, seeing Jeff & Alli, going to church, and MY BED! :) Only seeing Alli for a few days a week and seeing Jeff less than that is starting to really tear at my heart. I cry every time I leave home and I cry every time I leave Little Rock. I had a great time at home some this week with just me and the gator (Alli) spending some much needed snuggle time together and I've had a great time here the last 4 days holding our sweet Emry and getting home one on one time with her too. I actually held her for about 3 and a half hours straight today! I cannot wait for that 3 hour drive home with me, Jeff, Alli & Emry.
Ahh....sweet girl!
Trying to figure out mommy's pump
Not our finest... but we had fun anyway!
Still working on the pump.... with a sweet flower on her cheek....
Right now we are just in the growing and feeding stage. So please, if you don't mind, say a prayer for our little family tonight. For Emry's ability to eat and grow & that we don't let the miles and stress affect our relationship & strength as a family. I'm finding it harder and harder not to get discouraged as each day passes and we aren't together but I am so grateful for God's mercy and sovereignty over us.
We are blessed!
(just a side note as I was writing in this last paragraph "I am so thankful for God's mercy and sovereignty" I realized I did not even really know what "sovereignty" meant. So.... I looked it up... sov·er·eign·ty supreme power over something... wow! God please have sovereignty over us!)
