Tulsa Zoo

Jamie & I decided to be brave and take the girls to the Tulsa zoo on a very HOT July day!!! We had a great time but boy was it hot!

sleeping baby....

Well last night we had our first (hopefully of many) "sleep through the night" experience. We laid Alli to bed about 10:30 and she slept until 6:15 this morning!!! Oh how I feel like a new person! I still woke up several times and checked on her like usual but I found a beautiful sleeping baby every time. :-) I almost wanted to just stay awake and watch her sleep. That passed quickly though as I laid my head back down and started snoozing..... zzzzz..... She slept from about 11:00-5:00 a few nights back so hopefully this sleeping longer periods is going to be an ongoing thing. I'm so proud of her. Each day it seems like she is doing something new. We found her yesterday reaching for and cooing at her toy on her car seat while we were on our way home from my PaPa's. For those of you mommy's out there, you know what it's like to be so proud of your child for these seemingly small milestones. It's amazing how these things just brighten your day. Here's how I found her the other morning haha. I guess she likes sleeping sideways:

They are having a party tonight at Chuck E. Cheese to let everyone know, so I'm in the dark for now. I CAN'T WAIT!! Me & Alli are going today to buy something for "baby cup" (the name is per Laney) to take to the party. Jamie, if you are reading this should we buy blue or pink?? haha.

This past Saturday me & Nana got to babysit Laney & Sadie while Jamie & Brandon were looking at houses. We had so much fun! Our back yard at the moment looked like a hay field..ha...so we decided to play in the front yard with our sprinkler system. You improvise any way you can to put a smile on those little girls faces....

Baby Asher & Alli

Our friends Kristin & Shayne had there handsome baby boy, Asher, on June 23rd. He is so cute! We got to meet him this past Sunday at church for the first time. He was 8 lbs 3 oz when he was born so I expected him & Alli to be about the same size up next to each other but oh my he is so tiny!! I had forgotten how fragile they feel that young. She looked about triple his size! We are so happy he is finally here.... We are thinking we can show this picture at there wedding one day. ha. I'm all for arranged marriages.... :-)

All Smiles

Lately Alli has been all smiles. She is so adorable! The smiles start first thing whenever Jeff is about to leave for work (which by the way is SOOO cute! When he tells her by and gives her kisses she just smiles & coo's) and they hardly stop until bedtime. I will say about 8 every night she gets a little cranky but by 9 or 10 she's back to her ol' self.

2 months!

My baby is two months!! YAY!! According to her doctors appointment today she weighed in at a whopping 9lbs 2oz and 22" long. Which is almost 4 lbs more than her birth weight and 3" longer too. She is in the 10th percentile for her age on her weight and head size and her length is in the 40th percentile. So....she's still pretty small. Long and skinny.... The dr was really pleased with her growth though and said she looked perfect. Music to mommy's ears. She did have to get her first set of shots and did not take it well. She cried for a few minutes which broke my heart but then she calmed down and was all smiles. She is officially in 0-3 month clothes which gives me SOOOO much more options when dressing her. She can still fit into some of her newborn but not many. She smiles ALL the time and also does this new little trick where if you stick your tongue out at her, she'll stick hers back out at you. (I'm sure I am going to regret teaching her this when she starts school. haha) I am so proud of her growth and development. I also LOVE the little rollies starting to develop on her thighs. So cute!!
