21 weeks!

Sorry the picture is so close up. It's the only one that looked half way decent. I also have slacked in taking pics so this one is a week behind. I am actually 22 weeks. :-)

Over half way there!

These last couple of weeks have been so fun. Aside from getting to spend time time with our families for Christmas, which has been a blast, our little girl has also been very active. Jeff gets to feel her all the time now that her little movements our stronger and even see my belly move. Mom and Lindsay have also got to feel her kicks. It is such an amazing feeling! This little girl is active! We've tried a couple of times for Jamie and dad to feel her but seems like every time she quiets down as soon as there hands touch my belly. They must calm her... :-) It is also nice for people to ask now when I'm due or how far along I am as opposed to just looking at my belly and wondering if I'm just gaining weight or pregnant. :-)

We are also in the process of painting the nursery which I am very excited about. I think it is going to look great.

Hope every one has a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I surprised Jeff by singing "No Place That Far". He cried like a baby :-) It was great!

Well today Jeff and I are celebrating our 3 year anniversary. Wow! It has flown by so fast! I can't believe it has already been 3 years. So in honor of this very special day, I thought I would write my top five things I love about Jeff:

1. I love his personality and sense of humor. He is the funniest person I know! I love how when he tells a funny story tears stream down his face because he is laughing so hard.

2. I love his caring heart. He always trys to help people without expecting anything in return. He always puts others before himself and never says no when a friend is in need.

3. I love how sweet he is. He is always telling me how much he loves me and loves hanging out with me. (I don't quite understand why. I'm so boring...)

4. I love his drive to be the best at whatever he is doing. For those of you who know him, you know that he is very serious about his sports. :-) He always tries his hardest and doesn't give up. I think this is a great quality to have in a husband and father :-)

5. Last but not least, I love......EVERYTHING about him! Ok not some of the smells but I'm trying to live with them. haha.

He really is a great husband and the best friend anyone could ask for. I am so thankful and blessed to have him in my life.

It's a....

Well, as most of you know..... IT'S A GIRL! We are SO excited! She is so beautiful. The appointment went great yesterday. I was a little nervous about what all they were going to do in the ultrasound. I wasn't sure if they were going to just see what the sex of the baby was or if they were going to do an indepth look at the baby to make sure everything was developing the way it should. Turns out they do in fact measure and check everything so I was relieved with that. Everything measured perfect. She is 10 oz. and looks to have a healthy appetite. Her lille belly looked like how a puppies does. It was adorable!

All day I was really nervous, anxious, excited, etc. You name it, I was feeling it. The ultrasound tech told us when we first got in the room that she was going to do all the measuring and stuff like that for the doc before she looked to see what the baby was and about 5 secounds into the measuring (me and Jeff still not making out a whole lot. haha) she says, "ok are you guys ready to know?" We were like already? and she says, "it's a girl!" We both looked at each other in just amazement. I mean all along you wonder and then when you finally know it's such a rush of emotions. I love saying "she" is kicking or "she" is must be sleeping. It's such a wonderful feeling. The first two things Jeff says when we were waiting for the doc to come in was, "I've got to learn to braid hair" and "I've got to learn how to play fast pitch softball." Typical Jeff. He is so excited.

The room was awesome that they do ultrasounds in too. It has a huge plasma screen in the wall that you can watch while she's doing the ultrasound. It was so neat! It was nice to be about to see out little girl up close instead of trying to make out everything on those tiny little ultrasound screens. They also switched the ultrasound to 4D for a little bit for us to get some good pics of her. The pic above is the 4D. So exciting!

Also, thanks again for all the prayers!

Girls night!

The only pic of Jamie!
Laney brushing Sadie's hair....so sweet!

Me and Laney outside the hotel..

NaNa and Laney swimming...in the hot "pool"

Baby bump

This weekend me, mom, Jamie, Laney, and Sadie (and baby Harriett) spent the weekend in Branson. We had such a great time! We left Saturday at about 7:00am (we were supposed to leave at 6:00am! Sorry mom). We had never had an all girls trip before so I was so excited. Not to mention I LOVE going to Branson. Anywho, once we finally got up there we were so worn out from driving and stopping to shop in Springfield that we shopped at Tanger for about two hours and decided to go back to the hotel, order pizza, and swim! We had the pool all to ourselves! It didn't take long for us to get worn out from that too. The next morning we thought we would get to sleep in a little while just cause the girls had seemed so worn out from the day before. No siree! Laney was up and active at 5:30! She came and got in bed with me and NaNa for a minute to snuggle but that didn't last long. Once we all got up we shopped and shopped until mom's poor back was about to break and then headed back home.

We were supposed to be home by 4:30 for Jamie to help with her church's play. We decided to go home through Joplin because Jamie said Brandon is always saying how much faster it is to go that way as opposed to going through Huntsville so that is the way we went. At some point on the way home Jamie called Brandon to ask about directions and he's like, "what are you going through Joplin for?!? It takes so much longer!" Come to find out we think he only tells us it's faster that way so he can stop at Chedder's on the way home every time to eat. He LOVES Chedder's. Guess the ol' saying it right.... your sins will find you out. haha. :-) It was SO funny! Well not funny to Jamie. She was mad. :-)

Also more funny news.... Laney has decided the baby is not a Harriett (girl) it's a Franklin! She is set on it being a boy now. haha. It was so fun shopping with her. She would get so excited about finding a new outfit for baby Harriett/Franklin. (again these are not the names we have picked out. These are the one's Laney has named the baby)

It was a GREAT weekend/Girls night (that's what Laney called it).
