Hangin' with my peeps

I just had to post these pictures of Alli with her cousins Laney & Sadie. We made these shirts before Alli was born for the girls to wear to the hospital while I was in labor & for Alli to wear home for the first time but since Alli was a little smaller than we thought she would be we are just now getting around to taking there pics together.

BFFs! Cheese!
Poor Alli....haha
Me & Sadie

Well 4 months have now passed since my baby girl came in to this world & she is growing by leaps and bounds every day. So what is Alli up to this month:

~She can now turn over!!! Well she has 3 times anyway.

~She laughs ALL the time. Belly laughs are the best!

~Next Friday she will have been to 6 states in four months. This girl is a traveler. haha. We are leaving for Colorado Friday for a hunt/shopping trip! I can't wait!

~ She weighs in at a whopping 11lbs 5oz. & is 24in long.

~ Can fit into some 3-6 month but for the most part still newborn pants & 0-3 month everything else. :-)

~She is in size 1 diapers still.

~ We haven't started rice cereal yet but I think we are going to introduce it around 5-6 months. The dr said since she is exclusively breastfeed there is no nutritional benefit to starting food earlier than 6-8 months but he said we could if we wanted so we'll see... mommy is a little anxious to feed her big girl food... :-) She has started reaching for our food though when we eat so she may get a taste of it before Jeff & I want her too. ha

~ She continues to be a TV LOVER!!! I try to limit how much we keep it on during the day because if it's on she stares intently at it. :-) It's so funny!

~She has also started grabbing & holding on to toys. I love this stage. She's so fun to play with.

We are very proud of you Alli girl! I can't wait to see what you learn by next month!

Playin' Around

I love these little lips....Peek-a-boo!
There's that pucker again...
Can't reach the ground just yet.
She played like this forever.... She loves her exercauser!

Me & Alli had a girls day with Amber, Emma, & Lindsay today. Our first of hopefully many. It was nice to catch up. I miss those gals. We met Lindsay at the bank & Alli was all smiles. She is such a people person. Well as long as mommy is holding her....haha. She has actually been doing so much better lately when other people hold her. I am so proud of her. Anywho, after we left the bank we went with Amber to get her hair done. I could tell Alli was getting sleepy but she is going through this stage of fighting it so bad. I guess she just wants to be apart of all the action. :-) Well she started crying so I took her outside because that will usually put her out. Well what seemed like an hour later (after walking with her, bouncing her, & "tiger" holding her) I finally gave up and told the girls we were heading home. I felt horrible for Alli because she has never cried like that with me. Now I've seen her throw a fit with other people but not me. :-( Poor little girl kept screaming so I finally pulled over into a bank parking lot and grabbed some teething tablets Jamie had recommended we get. (Oh did I mention Alli is teething?? She can almost get her whole fist in her mouth. ha) I tore open the seal and popped one in her mouth praying they would work. (we had never tried them before) Not kidding you, before we got out of the parking lot she was asleep!!! AMAZING! I am keeping those bad boys close to me at all times! I felt horrible for having to leave the gals early on our day out but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. :-) Here's the poor baby after taking her teething tablet snoozing:

New Blog

If you haven't noticed....which I'm sure you have because you are on my blog as we speak...haha...but I am trying to re-vamp my blog. Not that I didn't like the old layout but I figured it is time for a new, improved site. I can't wait until it's finished. I'm hoping I can have it done by early next week but we'll see. Alli kinda takes up all my time these days (not that I mind) so I don't have a whole lot of time to work on extra stuff like this. Which is also why I rarely post anymore. I am going to try and get better but you'll have to bare with me until I get this whole "mommy" schedule worked out. There are still a few kinks Alli & I are trying to work out....haha.

3 months!

I realize I am 2 weeks late but I figure better late than never.... I am so proud of our little monkey. She is laughing & smiling all the time. I love it! Here are a few milestones we've accomplished this month:

~Weighs in at about 10lbs 110z (almost doubled her birth weight!)

~Started sleeping through the night. She has done this 4 times (maybe 5. I can't remember) this past week. We've had a few nights of waking at 3:00am to eat but I'll take it... :-)

~She holds her head up really good when you lay her on her belly.

~She loves playing with toys when they are hanging down & beside her.

~Wears 0-3 month finally (still some newborn but mostly 0-3) & size 1 diapers.

~Can sit up straight as long as you are holding her hands without wobbling too much. :-)

~She also LOVES to stand up on your lap now. I'm convinced she'll walk before she crawls. haha

She hasn't mastered rolling over yet but we are getting there. I find her all the time laying on her side reaching for toys, so I'm saying it's only a matter of time before she masters this.

We are so proud of you Alli!!

Looking back...

My friend Amber & her husband Tyler just left our house after visiting for awhile & I can't help but sit here & almost cry because my baby girl is growing so fast. Amber just her first baby girl this past Tuesday & while I was holding baby Emma it made me think of how only a few short months ago Alli was that small. Don't get me wrong I am happily welcoming all of Alli's new discoveries, laughs, learning eyes, all the fun stuff that comes with growing up, but my word when I held that little baby girl all cuddled up it was so sweet. So today, as I sit here watching my sweet baby sleep, I look back at how proud & sad I am all at once. (They should add "Emotions to expect...." to all the "What to expect...." books. ha) Here we go.... Get ready for the water works...
