30 WEEKS!

Well we are at the 30 week mark and I am getting so anxious to meet our little Alli! Although I must say, I have been a little apprehensive about a lot of things. For starters, am I going to be a good mom? Will I have a hard labor? What if she turns out to be a he? Will there be any complications during birth? What if I experience post pardum depression? Do I have everything ready for her arrival? And the list goes on and on as you can see.... My husband has been a great support in my "freak-out" moments though. He is very calm and reassures me that everything is going to be OK. What a sweet heart. He told me the other night that I just needed to remember that we are in this together and that I don't have to worry alone. *tear* I am so thankful to have him. Along those same lines, I am so thankful to have my mom and sister too. They have been so much help. Saturday and Sunday mom and dad came over and helped me wash ALL of Alli's clothes! Mom says she enjoys it but who really enjoys laundry?? Dad and Jeff of course shot there bows. :-) Oh and don't let me forget Dustin. He came over too and figured out how to disassemble the swing for me to wash. Thanks bro! (I'm sure he'll actually never read this so I'll have to thank him in person. ha ha) Mom and Jamie have been there to answer all kinds of questions and put my mind at ease thank goodness. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I guess all of this anxiousness and apprehension has taught me though that I have to let go of trying to plan it all out and give it to God. After all, He's the plan maker. :-)

To the country we go....

This past weekend we went out to Jeff's parents to help fix some fence due to the ice storm that hit a couple of weeks ago. Ok, so I didn't do much helping I just sat inside with Jeff's mom and ate popcorn. I'm entitled, right? I love it in the country. Hopefully some day Jeff and I will be able to move back. Until then, I'll just have to keep taking pictures of our visits.

Here are a couple of pictures from the weekend:

Jeff with his mom and dad after they shot down a hornets nest.

It's now in our garage. :-)

Our cows....

The only thing that makes us feel like we haven't become too "citified". haha.

28 weeks...

If you look closely you can see my belly button sticking out.....

Well, we are now on week 28 and I am starting to get nervous. All along, so far, I have been more focused on picking out furniture, choosing a crib set, all that fun stuff. Now, I think the reality of labor and delivery is starting to set in. I really think that if I were not such a planner and liked to have all my "ducks in a row", I wouldn't be so nervous. It's just the fear of the unknown that scares me. I hope this is normal. :-) Maybe I'll calm down a little after our childbirth prep class. Other than nerves I am feeling great. Oh course I have all those little aches and pains that go along with growing and stretching, but I'm living with them. We had our 28 wk appointment this past Monday, which went great. I had to get a RhoGAM shot because I have O neg blood but surprisingly I only felt a little pinch in the booty. Jamie said when she had to get one, both times it burned really bad so I wonder if they changed the "secret" ingredient. :-) The doc also listened to the heartbeat and measured by stomach which she said looked good. She was very happy with my weight gain which surprised me because I haven't really been watching it as closely as I should. I guess McChicken sandwich's and french fries are my new diet food. haha. Anyhow, thanks again for all the prayers and love. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family!
