I know I said I was going to post some more pics from our family vacation to Arizona but my mind has been a little preoccupied. We found out the day after we got back from vacation that we were pregnant! The exact date was Sept. 8th. We are SO excited! My period has always been very regular so when it hadn't shown up after 2 weeks I figured I had better take a test. Sure enough.... I got a positive right away! I went that afternoon to have some blood taken and all my levels looked great so then we scheduled an ultrasound to have us a little look inside. :-)
On Sept. 15th we got to see our little baby's heart beat for the first time! It was unbelievable! I cannot describe the emotions.... The doctor said the baby's heart was VERY strong. He expected the baby to have a rate of about 100 beats a minute but our little one's was at 120. He said that was great! The doc gave us May 3rd as the due date but according to my calculations its May 6th. We'll go with the doc's calculations though since it's sooner... We go in for another ultrasound to actually hear the heartbeat at 10 wks which is only about 2 1/2 wks away! That's all the news I have right now. I PROMISE to keep you all posted!
